gavel 1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading our mobile app, registering an account, or interacting with the GigWire website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these guidelines, you may not register or access platform matchmaking services.

GigWire reserves the right to modify these rules. Continued use of the platform following updates represents complete acceptance of the updated standards.

To secure a safe neighborhood environment, we enforce verification policies on both user classes:

  • Students: Must be official students of Pateros Technological College (PTC). During onboarding, students are required to upload their Student ID card and pass photo review. False academic registration will lead to immediate account termination.
  • Gig Posters (Clients): Must register using their verified mobile number and GCash profile. Task details, including coordinates and pricing, must be factual.

Payment security is managed under a secure digital escrow structure:

  • When hiring a student helper, the Gig Poster's top-up budget is held in escrow by the platform system.
  • Upon task completion, the poster must review the service and click "Service Done." This releases the locked points to the student's wallet immediately.
  • Students can request cash-out withdrawals from their balance to their verified GCash accounts. Point conversions are audited and reviewed by administration to check for RLS or payment fraud.

Reliable community labor is the cornerstone of GigWire. We hold users accountable for cancellations:

  • Ghosting (No-show): If a student accepts a task but does not show up without giving notice, the poster can submit a "No-Show Report." This automatically relists the gig, flags the student's profile, and triggers admin investigation.
  • Ratings: Both students and posters rate each other. Low ratings limit access to premium, high-paying gigs. High rankings unlock exclusive incentives.

error 5. Liability Disclaimer

GigWire acts strictly as a matching network connecting community members and academic students. Therefore:

  • GigWire does not employ students and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or timing of work done.
  • Posters are solely responsible for ensuring safe conditions for students executing household tasks.
  • GigWire is not liable for personal injuries, damages, or financial loss resulting from platform matchmaking transactions.

domain 6. Governing Law

These terms and all disputes arising from platform transactions are governed by the local regulations of the Republic of the Philippines. Any official actions must be directed through local administrative courts in Metro Manila.
